The International Exhibition of Tiben Carpet and "Silk Road" Carpet Fair Will Open on August 7th

Chinese silk Carpet for European Contracted Design Style

Sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, the People's Government of Qinghai Province, the People's Government of Tibet Autonomous Region , with the theme of "exchange, cooperation, innovation, development", the International Exhibition of Tiben Carpet and "Silk Road" Carpet Fair will be held on August 7th to 11th in Qinghai International Convention and Exhibition Center.


The exhibition will display all kinds of handmade carpets, machine woven carpet, artistic tapestry, and raw and auxiliary materials as the main exhibition content, and a live demonstration of carpet weaving skills of all countries to show Tibetan culture and art. The exhibition will be on display at two pavilions of the Qinghai International Convention and Exhibition Center, totally 885 indoor booths with international standard, of which 350 domestic booths, 355 foreign booths, 180 spot goods booths with a total area of about 30000 square meters. The exhibition is estimitated to have nearly 6000 people of the domestic and foreign merchants to attend.

The main activities are: handmade carpet auction; carpet cooperation and development conference with countries along the Chinese (Qinghai) Silk Road; respectively holding Chinese, Iranian and Persian fine carpet appreciation, Nepal and Pakistan Country Day activities; recognition to the domestic and foreign exhibitors, organizers, participants, business association of all countries and business organizations who made outstanding contributions during eleven years of the Tibetan Carpet Exhibition; holding on site conversation between carpet production and procurement,"International Mall" special promotion, the second preparatory meeting of World Handmade Carpet Association, handmade carpets, machine woven carpets and culture exhibition, and new product release show; in addition, the electronic commerce steps in the carpet exhibition for the first time, and carpet can be trade online and have a special sale promotion.

Persian Carpet for Chinese Classical Design Style

It is understood that Provincial Department of Commerce and other relevant units respectively went to Pakistan, India, Turkey, Nepal, Turkmenistan and other countries and regions to carry out Chinese silk carpet investment from last October to June this year. At the same time, combined with the exhibition of major domestic industry, they carry out domestic investment facing the member units of the industry organization, the local industry enterprises.
